Are you new to the coupon world?

Here are a couple of tips and tricks.

First, don’t be afraid to try new brands.  Switching from brand to brand is one way to save money.  If it doesn’t matter to you who puts out your cake mix, you are set to be able to stock up on it, no matter who puts in on sale.  If you are a little more of a particular eater you can still save if you only eat brand X of cake mix but it may be a bit longer between sales and coupons for you.  We have a little bit of food allergies in our house and can only eat specific brand of items due to health reasons.  We are not saving as much as we were when we could eat whatever, but we are still savings.  So go ahead cut out all those coupons and switch from brand to brand. 🙂

Set up a separate email account for your coupons and freebies that you sign up for.  There is nothing worse than having your personal email account flooded daily with spam because you signed up for a coupon online.  Also when signing up online be sure not to give out bank info or social security numbers.  Those questions should be red flags.  Many ask for your birthday  and mailing address so they can send you things in the mail and for your birthday.

Don’t be afraid to ask friends and family for their coupons they are not going to use.  It is a great way to get one more coupon.

Ask questions.  It is okay to ask managers questions.  If you don’t feel comfortable feel free to ask us too.  We would be happy to help.
